Class 3 Demonstration: How to lay out your palette and materials. How to mix paint and clean your brushed, Health and safety factors.
In Class: Simple still life
Assignment: Work on your painting
Week 3  
Class 4 In Class; Work on your painting
Assignment: Work on your painting.
Class 5 Slide Lecture and Demonstration: Color Theory for the Painter, and the Nature of Pigments. Warm/cool and complementary relationships. Pigment tinting strength and drying time differences, masstone, undertone, transparent and opaque colors.

Week 4  
Class 6 In Class: Color theory quiz. Continue work on your painting.
