The "24 Paintings In 24 Hours" project was the January 1, 1998 kick off for my Painting-A-Day project, which lasted for six months. These self-portraits are part of my larger body of self-portrait paintings that investigate the topics of women, beauty and weight in contemporary American society. Each of these paintings is 8" x 10", painted in oil on prepared wooden panels, and each was created in slightly less than an hour.
The project was documented using time-lapse video. This video is approximately 15 minutes long, and is available for purchase. |
